- Open the Browser and on the address bar type the URL www.auctionindia.com This will take you to the home page of our site. Use only IE as browser
- Register in the web site. Already registered users, can log on to the site directly to participate in the auction provided they have pre-qualified themselves by paying the required EMD. Passwords are case sensitive
- After login under the auction of your interest, click on the line " View and submit Offer document "
- Terms and conditions of the respective auction will be displayed. Bidders have to accept the offer document which has the terms of the selling company by clicking on the " I Accept the above terms" button given at the End of the Agreement . Bids will not recorded without accepting the offer document.
- The system will display the message "Your acceptance of the terms has been submitted"
- Click on the home button to go the home page again.
- On the home page, under the heading " Current Auctions ", click on the link for the auction of interest to you . This will take you to the page where all the items under a particular auction are listed.
- On this page, the item code, item description and the auction end time for each item will be given. Click on the item code of your interest.
- In this page, Item description, Start Bid value, Minimum Bid increment, Number of Bidders are displayed along with a table where the bid amount to be entered.
- Enter the alter name in the alter name field if you wish to mask your identity while bidding. But, alter name is to be entered before the first bid is placed on an item. If alter name is not entered, your username name will be used for bidding and this will be shown in bid status and bid history. You can enter different alter names for each item if you wish. The alter name you enter should be unique for each item. i.e., if any other bidder has used the same alter name for that item, you will be prompted to use another alter name.
- Click the bid now button on the bidding screen. The system will ask for bid confirmation and after you click " ok" , system will give you a message on acceptance of your bid.
Multiple Bidding Option
- After log in click on the auction of your interest, item code, short description and the auction end time for each item will be given. Click on the "Multiple item bidding".
- This will take you to a page where all the items for that particular auction are listed. Select the items for which you want to place bids and enter the alter name and bid amount in the corresponding fields.
- Click the bid now button on the bottom of the screen. A pop-up showing the status of bid on each item will be shown.
- Enter the alter name in the alter name field if you wish to mask your identity while bidding. But, alter name is to be entered before the first bid is placed on an item. - Enter your bid and click the "Bid now " button. If your bid is accepted, the page will refresh and your bid will be shown on the bottom of the screen. If your bid is not accepted, you will be prompted with an error message.
NOTE: Please refresh the screen frequently by pressing the Refresh (in IE) to get the current status.
