Chennai's Cyber Commerce, an associate of US based Cybernet Software Systems, has launched www.auctionindia.com, probably the first Indian website for auction and sale of industrial assets such as machinery, plant and even entire factories or businesses.
"The options are open to any business that wishes to sell list surplus, used machinery or other assets," said C E Karunakaran, Co-promoter of the company.
"AuctionIndia strives to bridge the gap between buyers and sellers by ensuring efficient communication between the holder of an investment asset and its most suited future users. It does this by maintaining a quality site enabling buyers and sellers to list their offers and conducting selective auctions," he added.
The site currently offers a free listing of industrial assets to buyers and sellers alike, customers can avail of these services via computers, fax or any other mode of electronic communication.
The site which became operational a few weeks ago, has already listed around 500 machines and 30 industrial units and is offering two methods of sale - a negotiated sale between the parties and an auction, informed Karunakaran |
